Birthday Shout-Out!!!

Happy Birthday to my niece and God-daughter, Amanda. She turns 17 today! Amanda is a very smart and beautiful girl. She plays basketball, and she's really good at it. She also plays the violin, and she's in all those advanced classes in school. She's a junior in high school, and is starting to look at colleges. I'm sure she will get accepted into the college of her choice. Amanda, I hope you have a wonderful birthday! I wish I could be there to celebrate it with you!

Belated Birthday Shout-Out To My Sister Gayle

My sister Gayle, a.k.a. The Mayan Princess, had a birthday on Thanksgiving Day. Her nickname, The Mayan Princess, comes from our trip to Mexico last November. Gayle, you will be forever known as The Mayan Princess to me!

Gayle, I am truly blessed to have you as a sister. You are older and wiser, and offer great advice. You have the best sense of humor out of the three of us and I miss having you nearby. I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

We wish you could be here to celebrate your birthday, but you're in the Navy and in Virginia. Thank you for serving our country. We're glad we saw you in June!

You have always made our lives interesting, to say the least! We love you very much, and still can't believe what a responsible young woman you have become. You're 19 now, you're married to a really nice guy, and you're a smart & beautiful girl. We could not be more proud of you!

You're 22 now, and so mature. You've stopped walking into things and getting random injuries (thank God!). Your wife Toshia is a beautiful woman, who loves you very much.

Shout Out To Our Newest Family Member!

Little Boy Rogers was born at 2:00 a.m. today to my niece, M! He weighed in at 8 lbs. 1 oz. and has lots of dark hair and M's dimples! YAY! Congrats to M! I hope you name your baby boy soon! Hopefully I'll get back there this year to see my very first grand-nephew!!!
