Brother & Sister Down

Sticks, Cody and Dimples
Saturday night, our BACA President, Sticks, and his wife, Dimples, were in a serious bike accident. A truck was involved...I don't know who hit who and I was there. The truck rolled, and crushed the roof. I'm told those people are stable. Sticks and Dimples were thrown more than 100 feet from the bike. No head injuries, no internal injuries. They are both in ICU. Sticks is awaiting surgery. Injuries range from a badly broken pelvis to broken knees and elbows and a broken scapula. They are lucky to have survived it. They will have a long road of recovery ahead of them. We are completely devastated. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

This is sad news for sure... I am sorry to hear about this accident..not sure why, but it seems that we're seeing a lot more accidents this year than we previously have.
Please keep us posted on their condition for they will be in our thoughts and prayers till they get through this

Devastated isn't a strong enough word here, but then again, no word would be strong enough. I don't know what else to say except if you guys need anything, and we are capable of doing it, let us know.

Keep us updated on what goes down. I always freak when a rider goes down. Thoughts are prayers are there for sure. Thankfully there are no head injuries or internal injuries...that's good.

Only have a minute - in middle of family gathering. Obviously you know this has been weighing me down since I read Big D's comment on my blog about this. I will be in touch as soon as I can. I am with you all in spirit and hope. For now, thank goodness they survived. More later my friends...until then all I can offer is my sorrow, support and hope. Hang in there, and when you can, let them know I'm pulling for them. I am a wreck.

They will need lots of prayer and support to get through this. They are blessed to have both.

Hopefully, their recovery will be a short one.

I'll try to call soon. Love you guys!

We are here for our freinds...
The ramifications of this will reverberate out for months and years...

I do not drink..
I also know that having a CDL lowers the legal limit by half what is considered Impaired..

Whether it gets determined that it was their fault and the penaltys involved will be decided by the courts.
Financially and personally they are more than paying for this.

Monday morning Quarterbacking will not change the outcome...

A comment posted above that I deleted....is not necessary..

Remember..they are our family...
I don't always have to agree with what they do or don't do.

But I still stand beside them as a brother.
I hope all recover from this.
Including the people in the truck.

Addendum
I don't drink...as a general rule
Perhaps twice a year I do.
But only at home or in a parked for the day setting...Ie Overnight stays..etc
Just giving full disclosure..

I drink. Sometimes I drink a lot. Sometimes I don't. I also know when to to say something positive when people are worried about their hurt friends that haven't even left the hospital yet, and when to keep my mouth shut.

Apparently "anonymous" doesn't know how to do that. He needs to grandstand elsewhere.

We're well aware of who anonymous rides with, no worries.

Anonymous: Next time have some tact, asshole. And keep your personal vendettas or whatever else off my fucking blog.
