Quick Update
I haven't had much time due to schoolwork, which is totally killing me right now. But I did want to post a quick update on the bike situation.
We ordered the part we needed on ebay Saturday night, thanks to a good friend who prefers to remain nameless. Big D has ordered the same part from the same seller for his friend's bike not too long ago (ironic? yes!). So, Big D expected the part to come in Wednesday or yesterday. Wednesday, the UPS truck pulled up and the guy had a box that was just the right size. Big D got very excited when he saw this and said, "Oh, you brought my part!" To which the UPS guy replied, "It's addressed to Lily." This is my what my Mom calls our daughter, Vicki. (Long story, don't ask.) Poor Big D was crushed.
He emailed the seller last night to find out when he could expect the part, and the reply he got was, "Sorry for the delay. Will send tomorrow." Fabulous. You pay $40 for shipping and you have to wait more than a friggin week to get the part?! So we don't anticipate accepting delivery of said part until at least Monday. Joy.
So this weekend, we get to take the cage to the BACA meeting. Joy. I can't wait until the bike is up and running. And if I'm this agitated, I can only imagine how Big D is feeling.

I'll bet he said ******g **d d*** a** h***s
What a bummer...hang in there...some day the part will show up...Just think of what you can do in the cage.
I'd be demanding my $40 back or that they pay extra for Saturday delivery! That is just not right!! I hate buying off ebay. Most of my purchases have taken forever to receive!!!
I don't know what's worse.
Having a bike that's all ready to roll, but can't be driven because of the weather, or weather that's all ready to be ridden in, but can't be because of the bike not running. Either way sucks I guess. If it's any consolation, you'll both be back in the saddle long before I will.
Good luck!
Amazing how "sorry 'bout that" is suppose to fix everything. Sometimes it just doesn't. I think I would invest 40 bucks of my time calling and complaining...just to be annoying.
that's terrible! I can imagine how crushed he was when the package was for your daughter :(
I hate coming home and seeing the sticky on my door and then can't get the package for another week because they keep missing me or I keep missing them.
WW: That's exactly what he said! How did you know?!
Baron's: Yep, we can do a lot in the cage...but it's 80° out this week!!!
Paula: I would have demanded much...but this guy has the ONLY part available and he knows it. I don't need him to screw with us.
Joker: I'm guessing it's worse to be in your shoes. I still have about 325 more riding days left this year!
Dave: Yeah, it's a bitch. Like I said to Paula, this guy knows he has the only part available so I can't mess with him. He holds the power.
QB: He was TOTALLY crushed!
Andrea: That would've been great! At least we could get the part!
I think you should demand the 40 bucks back...what a crock of crap!
Love the new pix on the top there...you and Big D look so freaking awesome!!!
The Cage, would that be the car?
Steph: Yeah, it's a total crock. Thanks...we love that pic, too!
Kim: Yes, the cage is the car. :)
Saw you stopped by, thought I would too. I Love bikes, and bikers, but I am scared to death to ride.
Great that you left this wet soggy cold land to do what you love! Header photo is great!
Gotta love it
