So Glad I'm Not Back East

This is a picture I took from one of the local news sites back in Massachusetts. This was taken after the ice storm they had back on 12/12 or 12/13. Thousands of people lost their power after that ice storm, and some still didn't have it restored as of Sunday, 12/21. During the time they didn't have power, 1-2 feet of snow was dumped on them. Do you think these trees are bowing down to Mother Nature? It's gonna be a long, cold winter back there. It will be 60° here on Christmas day, unless that nasty cold front comes through, and then it will be 53° and rainy. I'm the first to admit that I hate the rain and nasty cold weather, but I'm so glad I'm not back east! A special Merry Christmas to our family and friends in the east! We love you and miss you!

I am surprised there is not snow on the ground. It snowed here in Albuquerque for about 5 minutes. Merry Christmas!

A belated Merry Christmas. I hope you know I've been thinking about you even though I haven't been able to get my ass over here for a while.

Yeah, that ice storm sucked. We SO lucked out down in my area of the state - all we got was rain. Yeah, when I saw all those people w/no power for so long, I know we dodged a bullet there. It was an inspiration for me to finally ask my electrician about installing a gen-tran (generator transfer switch) in my panel for me. If that ever happens here, I want to be ready. I ain't goin' to no shelter!!
