So....

I was going to post something today. I have a video that Pepper took of me riding home from the BACA meeting with a bunch of members. It's a kick ass video. But I can't get it to post. I'm working on that. I have some funny stuff I was going to post, too, but I can't.

Riding has been taking up so much of my time, I don't have time to post right now. I was up at 6:00 a.m. today so I could do some laundry, clean the house and do some homework. Because we're going for a long ride today!

I honestly don't know how women riders do it! I have no time to clean, do laundry, watch tv, or anything! And I have no interest in doing any of those things! I just want to ride!!!!

OK...gotta get the next load of laundry in. :)

Ride safe!

Its not just women...
our house is a mess, piles of laundry need to be done, the lawn needs to be mowed, garden is a huge pile of weeds...
I call it "domesticus neglecticus"--a malady that affects motorcyclists especially during peak riding season!

Have a great ride! We're heading out in a few minutes ourselves. The housework can wait.

Sounds like a good problem to have!

Housework and homework ain't gonna make you a better rider, only riding will do that. So, if you're gonna be a rider get out there and ride, the rest will be waiting for you when the days riding is done. Hope it was a great ride for you today.

Second thought....teach Big D to do the laundry, dishes, floors, and windows. Frees up a lot more time to ride.

Women riders don't Ann...just come to my house and it will be evident that the woman who lives there rides.

I wanna see the video! It's not just women bikers honey, it's all women! There's never enough hours in the day for us to get all of our responsibilities in! That's why you gotta say screw it and just have fun!

Have fun riding! Laundry can wait for non riding days ;-)

Laundry! Are you out of your friggin mind! The suns up and there’s gas in the tank. Do you think that big ass bug that hit your knee gives a crap if your jeans are clean or not? You better get your priority’s straight lady.

Yup Ann, Dave's right, and it would be a friggin' miracle if he actually came home to pick up his own shit.

It's easier for us Mass-holes by default. The laundry gods cast forth shitty weather on a fairly regular basis to provide time for all the chores to be done. Susan and I try to work as a team to get shit done, but even with all that, it still seems like every time I open the closet door, that damned hamper is FULL again.

Laundry sucks.

Then again, it has to be done. You never know when you may go down, so it's important to always have clean undies on, just like Mom taught us.

Ann, I honestly believe that a hundred years from now, people will not remember that we kept neat and tidy homes. They will not remember us by the neatly pressed clean clothes or TV shows we watched.

We will be remembered as riders and be respected by the work we did and the brothers and sisters we held in our family.

Ride, sister!

P.S. - We missed you in Mesquite. Did your hubby make it up? I didn't see him.

All I can do is laugh! I've been there... done that. Me and my dust bunnies have become great friends!

Enjoy the ride sista! You deserve it!!

Like your post title... "So...." Glad you are getting out there, and realizing just how friggin cool it riding your own! BTW, I like the new picture atop your blog. To bad for Big D., you dumped him.

RazorsEdge: No...nobody from Maricopa made it up to Mesquite. Plans were made, and plans fell through. We're hoping to get up there at some point, though. :)

Everybody else: I'm glad I'm not the only one in this predicament. BTW....the laundry got mostly done before we left. And we were gone all day! :)

You only need clean underwear, clean socks and two pairs of jeans and three or four t-shirts. Forget all the rest of it. It'll still need washing again anyway so save it for a rainy day. Life won't wait but the laundry can.
