Trivia Question: Old Glory
In observation of Memorial Day, I thought I would ask you all a flag trivia question:
Where's the only place the American flag flies all day, never goes up or comes down, never flies at half-mast and is never saluted?
My husband "Mr. KFuj" and I are thinking that the flag on the moon doesn't really fly, it is held up by wires. We both were thinking the Iwo Jima Statue in DC has a flag that never goes up or down, never at half mast, and never saluted.
I will post the picture on my blog. I agree the one on the moon with quailty but what about this flag too??
I walked by Iwo Jima just the other day and gave it a big salute!!
All kidding aside, there's a Fort something or other right next to Iwo Jima and the military has regular functions right near it and the Marine Corp Memorial...it has to be saluted once in a while..

THE MOON!
Yeah, Jen!
Ahhh, I was stumped. Good one Jen
isn't it at the tomb of the unknown soldier?
My niece Jen is a total rock star!! It's the moon!
I still say you were switched at birth...nobody in our family is that smart! :) Love ya Jenny!
I'd say we're a family full of sharp knives that doesn't take too much shit from anybody.
Spot-on, Jen!
Well I actually had the right answer--for once.
excellent
Rock on! I actually knew that one... Just late as hell, as usual. Have a wonderful holiday!

Good one, it stumped me.
I asked it to some friends over the weekend and they didn't know either.
I had no idea...good one for sure. Way to go Jen!
Kfuj: I would have to assume, just because of it's location, that the Iwo Jima flag is saluted, at least once in a while.
