The collection of any random thoughts that pop into my head, or the culmination of some damn thing that happened at the Nelson house, because you all know there is never a dull freaking moment in our lives!

Counting My Blessings
I've been kind of down since my last day at work yesterday, so instead of brooding about not having a job, I have decided to take a look back through some pictures.
As I was looking, I realized, I've had a pretty amazing life with some great times with family and friends. I've had some amazing opportunities, like meeting H. Ross Perot, hanging out with friends in TX, vacationing in Mexico, etc. These memories are now serving their purpose: they are getting me through a tough time.
Then I realized, I wanted to share some of these memories with all of you. Big D is always telling me to count my blessings, so I've decided, for once, to listen to him. Enjoy!
Just press play. Beware...there is music! :)

LOVE your video. And I loved the song.
Thanks, Mr. M. That song is one of my favorites.
You are truly blessed, no doubt. Thanks for sharing. You are on top of the world if you can be content with what you have. Not an easy thing to do sometimes. I'm in the same boat, long story. We will survive. Hard times will come and they will pass. Thanks for reminding me that I too have had an amazing run so far.
very neat idea. And a lot of wonderful people and memories to be thankful for! Thanks for sharing!
I love it! We are all blessed, too, to have Ann and her Random Thoughts in our life! Hang in there, I know good things are coming for you.
Chills! Watching your slide show along with the music almost made me cry. You made me homesick for my own family and I just LOVED that rendition of "Over the Rainbow". It's one of my favorite songs too. Big D is right. We need to be reminded sometimes to be thankful for what we have and not dwell on what we don't have. You can look around at your family and all your new bundles of joy, and realize just how loved and fortunate you are. I will pray, a door with new opportunities is opened to you in no time! Thanks for sharing!
As you all well know, Ann is the most AMAZING woman I ever met.
I have a Awesome wife and 4 Great kids and two grandkids.
I have Many,Many friends.
A few I even call Brother or Sister.
I have 4 brothers and a sister by blood still living....and One brother who watches over me from somewhere.
All wordly goods pale in comparison.
So in summary..
I got Bike's, BRO's and Ann.
Life Don't get any better than that!!
Dave: This too shall pass. Keep the good times on your mind.
Paula: Glad you enjoyed it.
QB: Awwww, thank you!
LadyR: That song makes me cry every time I hear it. But please, never say Big D is right...his head is big enough already! ;)
Big D: I love you, Babe. What more can I say?
Big D went and took up all the good stuff to say! Great slideshow, and yes, I liked the music too. Lady R also stole a line of my thoughts. I too am going through some rough times, but you wouldn't really know it by reading my blog. I'm trying to focus on all the great things in my life too.
When you've got your family and friends, you're already doing better than about 60% of the world's current population. That's the strength that will carry you, and all the rest will fall into place in time. Believe it.
You are my video mentor - loved it!
Joker: I do believe it. Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing that. It is truly beautiful. We can all get caught up in "life" sometimes, and it would be a wise thing for all of us to take a little time once in awhile to think on the good. I will be praying that you find something soon and that in the meantime your spirits will be lifted. And I just wanted to say what a blessing it is to hear a man talk about his wife with such love and devotion. :) You two are so fortunate to have each other, and the best part is that I can tell you both realize it. Thanks again for sharing your memories with us.
BB: I think that is one of the nicest comments I've had on my blog! Thanks!
Eeek, I was gonna say Big D was right!! This is awesome. We are all super fortunate and you are a loved woman with a wonderful hubby!! :)
You're very welcome my friend.
Man that was awesome I loved the song it was perfect it got me all warm and fuzzy on the inside but what's funny is it's like father like son whenever I get stressed about life Rex tells me the same thing and i'm beginning to learn to appreciate all the great things that I have around me and not get too caught up on all the other shit. You guys are in our thoughts and my prayers. Love you so much
Thanks, Deja. Yeah, Rex is a lot like his Dad! That's a good thing...you really don't know how good you have it! We love you guys and miss you terribly!
Great post Ann. Lots of blessings to be counted.
Well done! We miss you.
Loved it, although I was a little saddened to not see myself in there anywhere. Things will get better and you'll find something great. In the mean time we can wash the troubles away with a little hurricane bay!
